Go to www.BrianEnos.com/forums and read your brains out. Buy the book and videos on the site when you have a few #'s. They are worth it.

Everything you ever need to know about shooting is in his forums. His book is an essential.

I would take things the other way. First get some basic safety issues down pat, then compete, then practice and get better.

When you compete, you'll learn what you need to work on, and other people can give you some tips and suggestions.

+1 on the Brian Enos book/website stuff.
