safety
havnt got my xd yet. but a ? on the safeties i know the trigger an grip safety but what is the firin pin safety and how does it work? thanks

I believe on the XD system, the firing pin (striker) is physically blocked by the trigger, unless the trigger is pulled and held to the rear. This prevents the striker from hitting the cartridge primer if the gun were to be dropped.
