Jeff Cooper R.I.P

I didn't see it posted on XD Talk but Jeff Cooper passed away yesterday.

http://www.gunsite.net/

Jeff died peacefully at home this afternoon (25 Sept)

At the request of the family it is my sad duty to report the passing of our founder, Jeff Cooper. Jeff died peacefully at home this afternoon while being cared for by his wife Janelle and daughter Lindy.

There will be a private internment at Gunsite by invitation, with a public memorial service at the Whittington Center at a date to be announced.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

DVC,

Ed

A legend lost...

There are few men who leave as large an imprint on the firearms world.
God rest his soul, I hope he's up in heaven discussing guns with Samuel Colt and John Moses Browning~Nathan

A dramatic impact not only to his students at gunsite but to all who carry, use, compete or wish to enjoy the arts of handguning. As profound an impact as John browning.

May he rest in peace and well wishes to his friends and family.

Enjoyed his to the point and sometimes politically incorrect articles. I agreed with much of what he has said concerning big bore stopping power and what it means to be a rifleman.

He was a throwback to an earlier era when men were men not the sissyfied yuppie culture of today (gun guys like us on this forum and others - excluded).
