XD parts
My XD40 service suffered malfunction last week at the range. I pulled the trigger, it fired (it always fires) and the trigger didn't reset.
That ended my range day right there. I was having a little trouble with the slide lock spring as well, so I was miffed to say the least. Well I called SA and got an RMA number for return. Then I set about cleaning the XD just out of pride. I didn't want to send in a filthy gun. My curiosity got the better of me and I detail stripped the frame to find out what happend with the trigger. The trigger bar spring had broken right at the loop that hooks under the trigger bar. I didn't want to go through the hassel of shipping a firearm to Illinois for a silly little spring. So I e-mailed Megan at SA customer service and basically said just that. I didn't want to ship it back for a 10 minute spring replacement. Megan just replied and said that a new trigger bar spring is on it's way to my house! Megan said if the trigger bar broke I would have to send it in but the spring could be shipped out. She also apologized for my trouble. A company that remembers what customer service is supposed to be.....not bad. I would rather that my XD didn't break, but all mechanical items will break eventually. Nice customer service SA! I just wanted to share a good news item, these boards tend to attract all the gripes and not much positive news |

My XD's XD9 Tactical XD40 Sub Compact XD40 Service You know, this crap happens with in-breeding. You can only hope the unfortunate, screwed up love child would take themselves out of the gene pool when they discover electrical outlets and butter knives or start huffing paint when they're 7 or 8 but every once in a while a truly magnificent specimen makes it to adulthood to display for the world just how freaking stupid they really are. |
