Failure to elect
I went to the range today and after 20 rounds my 9mm service would not eject any shells. I tried different ammo, and 2 other mags. All had the same problem. I stipped it down out there and everything looks in order. The spent round would stay in the chamber
Any input would help. Last edited by Tyoung : 09-24-2006 at 06:23 PM. |

So it would not remove the spent round or would not fling it away from the gun????? Stove pipes? Double feeding? anything else to add?

The spent round would not come out of the barrel and the next round would catch the bottom of the spent caseing.

I looked a little closer today and yep the extractor is broken. I've never had to fix one. Is it a hard job to do?

Send it back to springfield they are the only ones that can fix it. Sorry. If you could take some pictures before you send it please post them and we will be able to show other members what a broken extractor looks like.
