This is true, I discussed it with Frank yesterday. In mid-October he is planning to have a 9mm conversion barrel for the XD40SC, followed by a .357SIG barrel. Once this barrel is complete, he is going to release a 400 CorBon for the XD45ACP.

I sure hope it releases this time; I almost bought a hi-point 9mm the other day just so I could have a 9mm for plinking; I think I can wait .

Sounds great to me! However, I do wish him the
best of luck on producing a drop-in .357SIG barrel
for the XD40SC.

Conversion barrels for the sub compacts have not
been that successful, especially in the .357SIG
chambering. The fact of the matter is, I have had
to fit each on five conversions that I have except
on one occassion. That one was a Bar-Sto for a Sig
P229.

Time will tell, Mr Ely. I am at a point where I tell those who buy a barrel from us to expect some fitting in order to make the barrel run. The reason is that no two XDs are the same and your XD will most likely be different than mine and the test guns at FireDragon.

I'm interested in this also. I hope it works well, if so I'll pick one up.

The only pitfall I see about these conversions is the fact I can reload .40 ammo cheaper than I can purchase 9mm ammo. Brass is free from a source I have. Basically for "me" it's still not much of a consideration or am I missing something ? open to suggestions.
