shtf distances generally no further then 25 and mostly at 10 yds, I do also practice at retention destances 5 ft and under, for those muggers and whatnot.

Generally 10 yards, but I need to start shooting at 25 yards as well to practice for shoots.

Generally, if you can reliably hit a 6" target at 25 yards (other than the bullet trajectory difference) you should be able to hit anything closer than that.
