i just bought an AK and i plan on customizing it. i like them more than AR's but having used AR's for so long...i think i want one that i can play with as well. ideally i'd want one just like my M4 in the army (minus the 3rd burst...never used it or needed it).

anyone have suggestions???...since this has kinda become an AR thread.

i'm not trying to break the bank either...just something semi-economical.

Check out AR15.com's Equipment Exchange. You should be able to put one together pretty cheap. Plus if you have any issues or questions those guys will help you out quick.

You can build alot of AR for 2250.00 It is a nice setup. I spent 5 months on AR15.com asking questions and reading. You have a nice advantage now with the ban gone. I costs much less to set-up with a collapsing stock and a barrell with flash supressor with the ban gone. You can spend
750.00 for a decent rifle or 1300.00 for a Very Nice rifle that you can update more as you have funds. I spent 900.00 and then I bought the Holographic ( heads up display) sight for another 300.00. You will want to buy a Flattop so you can change your optic preferances, as opposed to one that has a carry handle that limits your options.
