I do not like SC, too small for my big hands. Also the service model has greater inherent accuracy due to longer barrel and sight radius. No brainer there, I carry the service model.

I wish to thank all who responded to this post. I have a good bit more information about the two weapons and why so many carry and shoot both XDs. I will likely purchase a Service within a few days. Thanks.

I like the SC, but I have a weak/crooked pinky finger due to having it reattached after a mishap at work. The finger hanging off the bottom becomes sort of a non-issue if you are used to not using it!
