No, no KaBoom. What it does is bend the dustcover of the frame down at a 90 degree angle. I've seen it happen on a Glock.

I could care less about the nightvision except in a dark building... It's the fact that it's so much louder and I have to extend it away from me to shoot. None of this C.A.R. technique stuff, no firing from retention...

And if you are considering IDPA, no ported barrels allowed (because they're no good for concealed carry).
