A pin in the frame is working it's way out...

I've noticed the pin in the frame of my XD45ACP just below the take down lever works it's way out after about 100 rounds on the range. I can push it back in, but it usually requires the tip of my needle nose pliers.

That kind of thing just doesn't seem right. What's wrong with my XD?

The locking block pin is not enguaging the detent. If you look at the ejection port side of the pistol at that same pin look in the hole. You will see a silver looking thing in there in the shape of the letter C. The pin has a ridge and that detent rides in the ridge. Push the pin in until you feel it slip into place.

Thanks, ajames, I think I got it back in. What made it do that, and how can I prevent it in the future?

Well the last person I knew that had your problem had disassembled his frame and when pushing the locking block pin into place has pushed the detent out of alignment in the frame. So I had to put the detent back into its place then push the pin back in.
