xd45sc?

Anyone heard any rumors of an xd subcompact .45GAP? I know, I know, the service and tactical ones are just now being seen ... just wondering if anyone's heard any rumors!

Best Regards,
Liam, who used to post here a lot, but has just lurked for a while ...

havent' heard anything, but considering that they still haven't offered the sub in .357, I'd say .45gap is just as unlikely.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

They could definately get those wanting hand cannon power in a smaller package than a full size 1911 without going to a LDA or a Warthog.

Sub in 45 GAP would almost take the take for my concealment piece. Small, good mag capacity, fairly light, and the good rep of the XDs already have.

But then again, Springfield doesn't exactly strike me as a smart company to realize all of this.

I would love a sub in .45gap. Glock is getting ready to reveal the Glock 38 and 39 in .45gap (they're on the cover of the 2005 Glock Annual). The g38 will be a compact, same size as the g19/g23, while the g39 will be a subcompact, same size as the g26/g27. The XD sub form factor is right in between these sizes, and I really like it, so I hope they bring out a sub!

I get what you're saying about the .357, whtvrsclvr ... maybe they'll see the chance to have a cool bigbore sub as maybe a bigger market share???

Ah well ... I can dream.

Liam

From what I have heard, the .45sc should be out end of spring/beginning summer.

As for a .357 SC, sit tight. EFK is working on barrels for the SC.

well, I'll tell you, that's the sweetest news. I didn't think it was going to happen.

Hi, Verm,
Thanks for the great info! Are you able to 'divulge your source' for the information about the .45sc??

I hope you're right, and thanks again!

Best Regards,
Liam

I'll bump this thread once ...

Verm, sorry to bug you, but are you able to mention the source where you heard the info on a .45GAP subcompact?

If you're intentionally not saying anything, no prob ... I won't bump the thread or bug you again.

Best Regards,
Liam
