I shot my first handgun when I was 18 and was taking a class at the junior college that had an academy also. Didn't shoot again until I began the academy. I taught my kids when they were about 9, but showed them and expained the dangers when they were 5. They are very aware of what they can do. The youngest is now 17.

when i was 4,5,6 my dad taught me and my brothers with toy guns
dont point at any one dont pull the trigger always point in safe direction treat all guns as thay are loaded and so on

had my first bb gun at 6 and got to shoot his 22 when he was around

got my first 22 for my 10th birthday Daisy 2202. i loved that gun must have 1 millon rounds out of it i still have it. is so beat down now but still shoots good

shoot my firsy hand gun when i was 12 s&w 459 9mm
when i was 13 i could shoot any thing i wanted

i'll post a pic of one of them nice(cheap) pistol safes asap. I thought it was a really good deal. It sits right on top of my other cabinet, bolts into the wall etc. Nobody's gettin in it unless they tear the wall out!
Just gotta keep the keys hid from my youngin
