The title pretty much sums it up. My used XD40 came with 10 rd mags. Can i buy followers to change them to 12? I apologize if this has been covered before. I searched and got about 5 pages of matches that weren't pertinent.

Given the large dents in the magazine tubes and the Beretta type follow used in the 10 round magazine it would be a lot of work to make them reliable 12 rounders. Probably not worth it given that you can order them online for ~$21.00 or less if you shop around. Save them for range magazines and get some new hi-cap magazines for carry.

I had the same thing. Bought a used XD40 at a gun show, and it came with two 10 rd mags. You don't even have to shop around. Just visit one of the forum sponsors. I ordered two at first, because I wanted a 12 for carry, and a buddy of mine wanted an extra for the range. A few weeks later, after my first range trip, I ordered a couple more. I now have 3 12 rounders and 2 10 rounders. Makes that first hot session at the range a lot easier with 5 fully loaded ready to go. Then my hands need a short break from shooting, and the speedloader gets to work.
