DAME SHE'S PRETTY!
JUST GOT DONE PUTTING THE XD BACK TOGETHER AFTER POLISHING SOME PARTS FOR HER TO GO SHOOTING TOMORROW! TRIGGER REAR SAFTY,MAG RELEAST,SLIDE LOCK,SLIDE OPEN PINS AND EVERTHING ELSE THAT HAD WEAR MARK ON IT!

Could you elaborate? Was the trigger black before polishing, or was it always silver colored?

NOTICE SOMETHING ELSE WHEN I WAS POLISHING THE PARTS! THE TRIGGER ,REAR GRIP SAFETY AND GIDE ROD IS ALL STAINLESS STEEL JUST LIKE THE SLIDE!

took it apart with instruction from http://www.xd-hs2000.com/disassembly/disassembly.html sand it down with a fine sanding block. the best one to get is the one for buffing your nails. you can get it at walmart work really great! then with a rag and some mother polish and polish away! the smoother you sand it down the shiner it get (like chrome finish) when you polish it. I did not sand it that much cause I dont want it to look chrome. I want it to match the factory bi tone and it did perfectely!
