Cleaning Polymer

I'm the proud new owner of an XD 45 ACP Tactical. I've never owned a polymer gun before, and I'm wondering what people use to clean the frame. I'm using Miltec on the slide and Hoppe's on the polymer. That seems to be an extra step I don't need.

I'm soliciting feedback on this subject.

I had a similar question. Will a chlorinated cleaner hurt the polymer, trigger, other plastic parts?

Im sure you get many differing replies here. I dont treat my polymer pistols any different than my steel/alloy pistols. I use Hoppes solvent, and either FP-10 or RemOil as lube. All parts get the same treatment. I've been doing this for years and have never encountered any problems.
