A Interesting Trade Possibility
I just last week bought a new XD-9 w/ trijicon night sights. I have put 150 rounds thru it thus far and no problems. I have a chance to trade this for a H&K USP 9MM new in the box with 2-15 round mags. I have never owned a H&K but I have shot a few. The trade would be my XD and 50.00 cash. I think it is a good deal. I would like some imput from H&K owners, Thanks all Dave

Wow. I rented a number of pistols before deciding to buy an XD, but my choice was based mostly on price. I definitely preferred the feel of the HK. On cost alone that seems like a remarkable deal. Don't those USPs go for twice what an XD runs?

YES,,, this one is going for $550.00 It is new, but I dont know how old it is. It does have the LEO only mags with them. The guy I might get it from is a dealer. I gave him the model number of my XD-9 ( I did not tell him I only paid 445.00 for it. ) and he called me back and said he would make the trade for the XD and 50.00. Now he has had this on GA for sale for about 6 months now, He lists alot of guns from his shop there. All I can assume is he wants to move it. I really dont know, but I am considering it. Thanks, Dave

Knowing the cost difference between the two pistols, I would almost bet there is something wrong with the H&K. Maybe not at the same time due to the rep of the H&K.

xd4life,
I dont think this dealer would knowingly sell a bad gun. I have bought,, maybe 4 guns from him in the past 4 years. Have you ever known of a dealer who would do this? thank, Dave

if the guy is a dealer he has to know how much his HK and the XD is worth, you think you're getting a good deal? maybe you should have some 1 experience look at the HK first B4 you do the trade!

New USP's are around $600 in CDNN's catalog. $550 isn't a bad price at a dealer for a new one.
He's got to know what a XD is worth, and I can't believe a used XD9 is worth $500 (price of USP minus your $50) It sounds like a good deal for you. |

I guess it would boil down to your opinions on your xd. Just because an HK costs more does not make it better for you. I wouldn't trade my XD for any pistol because of how well it shoots for me.

I agree with farmer. The HK USP grips are too chunky and feel huge compared to the XDs. HKs mag release is funky to me as well.
If it feels good to you, go for it, but if you shoot the XD9 really well and it gives you no trouble, I wouldn't swap it out. - Brickboy240

I wasn't a fan of the "chunkyness" either but I have small hands. What was really funny is after being used to the XD grip angle, I went to aim the damn thing and I was pointing at the ground.
