Multiple XD Questions

I have a few things I have been wondering about. Feel free to answer any or all of them

1. I want to do the white inlay on my slide, but I also want to have some type of protectant finish on it as well. Do these work well together? I was thinking about sending it to James for the duracoat in black or maybe I'll go crazy and pick another color.

2. What are the going prices for an XD-40 SC? I have been wanting something a little smaller for summer carry, but would like to "Keep it in the family" so to speak. If I get a SC, I can still use the full-size mags I have for the range and spares. Thanks to pistolgear I have 3 12 rounders in addition to the 2 10 rounders that came with my service model. I am leaning towards an OD green subbie. Used is fine.

3. For those of you who have fired both the sub and the service, what can you tell me about your experiences? Recoil, accuracy, overall comfort level, comparability, etc. etc. etc.

Thanks

Now I'm more confused. What is the real color of the OD green frames?

Pull up these two pics side by side and which one is more of the correct color. The subbie is a darker look, which I like, and the service and tactical looks brighter, which I don't like so much, but still like. I know it is just a matter of the pics as I don't think SA would have two different shades for the different sizes.

I have both and if I could only pick one, it would be the sub. I love the way it feels, looks, and shoots. I like it so much that I recently gave my service a sc grip modification. My advice is to rent and shoot both see which one you like better.

I love my service, but the sub would be even better for CCW duty, especially in the summer. The longer grip on the service bites into my hip or back when seated sometimes, and the size difference alone makes it easier to conceal. I saw the pics of the grip chop, and I like it. I'm just not that brave.
