How will I know if it's 2006 or a left over?
I ordered an XD9 SC new to be picked up tomorrow. The price is a little high ($499), so I definitely don't want a left-over if I'm over paying as it is. Is there a serial number range to go by?

in the case there will be a small white envlope with the test fire casing in it
this will be dated you can use it a genral date of manuf.

There are more accessories with the 2006 package. When Springfield started the XD Gear promotions, I think they had a different accessory package about every other month. 3 magazines, boxes of ammo, the paddle holster, etc. I've specified with my dealer that I wanted the 2006 package with my last 2 purchases.

At the price I got my gun for I wasnt complaining that it didnt have some things. The only thing I didnt get that I wanted was the mag loader and 15 rnd mags, but I got 10s. Oh well.

I ordered an "06 also. Got it and it was built in "05. Come to find out buying an "06 only means that it comes with the speed loader, mag pouch, holster and 2 clips.

Yeah, you do have to be careful about the 10 round mags. They (Springfield Armory) still offer the 10 round packages since some states still limit the capacity.
