Trigger Return Spring Broken?
Is the part with the arrow pointing to it the trigger return spring?
If so, mine might be broke. My trigger isn't returning, and the spring indicated can be moved side to side. Happened at around 4600 rds. About 3000 rounds ago I got a non-SA trigger job-- what's your opinion-- do you think SA will still cover the repair?

That is your trigger spring but most likely it was not modified during the trigger job.

more than likely not put back the correct way. thats the only thing i can think of. take the pins out for the trigger and locking block and make sure the spring was put back in the little slots on the trigger and locking block.

springs break
Little and BIG coil type springs of heat treated carbon steel do break. They are some of the oldest of spring designs know to man (Mouse trap springs). If someone could get a company like Spring Engineers of Houston TX to make a small coil type spring from MP35 Alloy Steel and then heat treat it you would not have to ever worry about it failing.

Yup it's broken.
Here is a link to a picture of what the spring should look like. http://www.xd-hs2000.com/images/triggerbarspring.jpg This link might be of use to you as well. http://www.xd-hs2000.com/disassembly...assembly2.html Looks like a trip back to SA. Although I would first check with where you had the trigger work done. |

Happened to mine. I just send mine back to SA, but since somebody did a trigger job for you I would go contact that guy.
