bought a xd45acp. the other day and the man said he's selling 3 xd's to every glock? i got a holster, dbl mag carrier, mag loader(which really helps ith that 45) and a lock. $530.00 with tax. service model

I don't doubt it. Anyone who spends that kind of money on a product ought to base the purchase on facts not hype. That's why I ended up with the XD instead of the Glock.

Everywhere here in Albuquerque, NM seems to have a hard time keeping the XD on the shelf (except the really high priced places). Sportsmans Warehouse has tons of Glocks and no XD's. There is a 3-4 week waiting list for SC and service model XD's. The last time I was there, the manager told me that they sell about 2 Glocks a week, but the XD's sell before they hit the floor at about 15-20 a week.

I love my XD!

no offence but i think glock has a track record proven well beyond the XD.

Darkvibe-- No offense can be taken with that statement- Before the XD line hit I thought the glock to be the best pistol on the market. I now own an Xd45 that I prefer to my glock21. I personally feel the Xd is an equall if not better to the glock in performance- and that is saying alot about the XD. The only thing the Xd lacks is the long track record that glock has had- I can remember when glock came out in the 80's- All the old school handgunners used to laugh at them and would say they would melt if left in your car in the summer ! I bet those same guys ended up owning one and more than likely replaced their 1911 with one. LOL

Both guns are pretty close in quality. The XD's will prove itself with a little more time. Up till it became the XD no one knew about the Croatian sensation. The XD has gone through the same torture test as the Glock. The Xd just don't have that much time in the field.

BTW when we were shopping for my dads XD not many had any and those that did wanted $529+ for the black on black. Which normally goes for $469 in my area. Anyone in the Atlanta area needs to check out Daves Guns in Griffin. Great guy and great prices...

The design has now been around 6yrs now and sells in every market it is in all around the world. how much longer does it have to proove it self. If I remeber right the Glock after 6yrs had prooven it self. Both are great designs get over having to Proove any thing. Remeber the Glock has almost 16yrs on the XD and Ill tell you what the xd has come a long way in that short time.
