Sub Compact Question

Has anyone tried carrying one in a pocket holster?

The SC is a bit too big for pocket carry IMO, but I have seen people use an Uncle Mike's neoprene pocket hoster as an IWB with success.

The neoprene holster is very thin and has a plastic clip to hook on your waistband. So it doesn't add a lot of bulk. And it's very lightweight.

The down-side to the neoprene holster:
-only one clip, so it's not very secure
-impossible to reholster with one hand (the neoprene will collapse when unholstered)

I agree its a bit too large for pocket carry IMO. Unless you have extrodinarily large pockets.

I bought a Fist pocket holster for it. It is good in the winter for a parka pocket.

holster for sub

like xd dan said- an uncle mikes sidekick works perfect for me too. the gun fits half in the pocket, attatches securely and easy to put on or take off and stays on the gun when not with you

I would never know if the XDSC is the right weapon to carry in the pocket, so I made my decision to ccw with an IWB holster(I hated them at first) which will make things more secure with my concealed carry mindset unlike the precarious pocket holster which makes me unsteady everytime I think about it.

If you are looking to carry in your pocket, your best option is Golf pants. they look a lot like dress pants, however the pockets are designed to hold golf balls...very big, also pretty deep.

Like others said, I can't imagine trying to carry the XDSC in my pocket. It's too big.

True...Fir many people anything bigger than a .32 Keltec or Beretta, or a snub-nose revolver is too big to carry in the pants pocket. If you are wanting to carry something bigger the golf pants do work great. A coat pocket often works far better though, and there are plenty of CC jackets out there.
