Gun oils

So I'm somewhat confused about what is the best or what is a highly effective gun oil to apply on the innards of the XDs

Also do you guys suggest any specific tools to clean the small metal parts of the XD or any firearm?

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this one and any help would be appreciated.

Personally, I think FP-10 (www.borecote.com) is the ideal cleaner and lubricant. It was recommended by Kimber when I bought a Raptor and I've used it ever since almost exclusively. I put it on patches to clean and lubricate areas of the frame and slide I can reach, and apply it with Q tips to hard-to-reach areas.

Oni,

I am a big fan of GunButter. What have you been using on your XD, up to this point?

I like eezox, but I'm thinking of ordering a bottle of militec-1 and trying it out again.

Militec-1. Use a soft paint brush to apply a thin coat before you go to the range. The process of firing the gun will heat it up and cause the Militec-1 to bond to the metal, keeping your gun lubed, even when it's dry. It's what I used in Iraq because all the sand makes it impossible to keep a gun oiled as it attracts all that dirt and grit. Never had a single jam the whole time I was there.....
