Screen grabs of muzzle flash
Was at the range a last week with my mini dv and shot this video of my buddy shooting my XD9 and GLOCK 19. We were shooting 124gr Independence ammo.

Just curious, because I've thought of recording my own shooting. Were you hand-holding the video camera or was it on a tripod? About how far back was the camera positioned? Available light or did you add lighting?
The ghost images of the slide are quite interesting... Can you see any detail of the brass ejection in any of the frames? |

The camera was hand-held the whole time and the actual clip itself is less than a minute long. I was standing approximately three feet behind the shooter and was only using the available light. I didn't want to take the tripod and a bunch of extra stuff because I didn't want to make a big production at the range especially not knowing how busy it might be. I was using a cheap Canon ZR200 which works quite impressively for what it is, and did my editing on Pinnacle Liquid 6. I'll post the video later if anyone is interested in seeing it.

video added
Just added the video. It's less than a minute long so it's probably not worth the download time. Two flavors, divx or quicktime.
Divx File (10mb) Divx player or VideoLAN required to view Quicktime (21mb)

I have videos of my XD40, my buddys P22 and my buddys old AutoMagII (in .22WMR). The automag has the coolest/largest muzzle flash. <sigh>
