10mm?!

Okay- let's stop kidding around; when is the 10mm coming out? Seriously, I just got a 1911 in 10mm and it is a blast to shoot. But the thought of getting an XD at about half the price of my 1911 has me salivating. If they can do .45ACP, why not 10mm?

Manufacturing costs, not a high demand for 10mm XD?

Always looking for the right answers, Oni.

My hopes are high for a XD-10. I have talked with several Springfield reps via e-mail and it is not out of the question. Springfield is getting many requests to bring back a 1911 10mm as well.

Personally, I think we are on the cusp of seeing Smith&Wesson and Springfield both releasing new 10mm models sometime soon.

I would probably sell one of my current XDs to finance the XD-10.

I would be shocked to see a 10mm, particularly now that the 45ACP is out.

The cost to get an assembly line together for a 10mm model is not inconsequential...unless they actually see genuine sales figures, it's not likely to happen.

Chances are, the genuine sales figures would improve, if they actually manufactured and marketed XDs in 10mm.

How, as I see it not that many people want a 10mm? Where is the reseach data that say there is a strong market for the 10mm? Given the sluggish sale numbers for present 10mm guns I just don'w see it.
