Hey I am from Grand Junction, I will be in Denver for a week for training, I was wondering if any of you go shooting during the week and wouldnt mind a "tagalong" I brought my XD with me just incase. Let me know I would love to fire off 100 or so rounds one of these evenings.

I am near denver but afraid will probably not have time to go to the range this week. About to go into a critical phase on a project I am on so they will expect stupid hours.

Most of the ranges around denver are private. Aurora has two public ranges, one at cherry creek state park which requires a park admission plus your range costs, one on S potomac street at alameda and potomac just off of I225 which is a crappy 50 ft indoor range with 10 public handgun points and awful ventilation.

Damn. I probably won't get a chance go shooting until Sunday. I'm a member of the Aurora Gun Club and it sure beats some of the ranges around here. I haven't been to the Cherry Creek range since they moved it into the park so I'm not sure how good it is. I'd still go there over the Firing Line (Alameda and Potomac). The shooting part is a dump, you will clean black crud out of your nose for a day or so. The rest of the store is o.k. Every time I go there, I'm mesmerized by the holes in the ceiling and lane dividers. I will shoot you an IM if I have a change in plans.

I went to a public indoor range on Saturday, the Silver Bullet Shooting Range in Wheat Ridge (38th and Harlan) and had a good experience. They only have 5 lanes but I didn't have to wait for one. They had distances of 7, 15 and 25 yards. $15 for an hour.
