Very nice.

I saw yours done months before I saw one done by CC.

I like the fact that you do your own work. Nice stipple too.

Nice but....

I think these look great, but here's are some questions. I am going to be purchasing a XD 45ACP soon, and from what I understand, it comes melonited - which is super tough, like tennifer. As much as I love the Fusion look, would I be sacrificing the toughness of the finish for the sake of beauty? How tough is the clear/gunkote combo finish used to create the Fusion?

The melonite treats the actual metal which will prevent rust and reduce wear. It's permanent. The outside coating is just black oxide. I'd think that gunkote would be more durable. However, there's no point in recoating the slide unless you want another color? Just have it polished and clear coated. I left the original bruniral finish on mine and covered it with clear coat so there's two coats of protection on the painted parts

The finish is absolutely beautiful, don't disrepect it in public by sliding dinging or denting your gun!

Chalk another one up for an Oni rambling.
The more I read his posts the dumber I feel.
