New XD OWNER
I just got the XD-40 after shooting a XD-45 over the weekend.
I love this gun. I am from Houston TX and wanted to introduce myself. |

I have been looking around the site and really like this place.
I am looking for some sites for my XD- My gun is used specific for comp shooting and home protection. TRITIUM? TRUGLO? ARE THEY EASY TO INSTALL? |

The XD sites from what I read on here are a pain in the rear and should be sent to one of the professionals. A Don's Guide Rod, and Camyon Creek trigger job are a must for me, even though I'm waiting to send my XD to Canyon Creek because of financial reasons.

Welcome to the forum.
Just curious. What made you pick the XD-40 after trying out the XD-45ACP?

is the .40 not as loud as the .45? I would think it would at least be equally as loud.

Congratulations on the new gun. I, too, am a new XD guy. Bought the XD-9 a couple of weeks ago, and I am absolutely in love with it. I just held the Xd-45 yesterday at the gun store, and now I HAVE to have one. I am getting the feeling that I will soon have a collection of them.
