Price advice needed: XD9 SC w Heinie sites
Hi All,
I've done a lot of research on this on the 'net, but I can't find what I would think to be a consistent price for a used XD9SC in black with the Heinie slant 8 sites. Package comes with 2 10 round mags. I'm buying this from my friend who I know has taken care of it. Its his second XD9SC, so it hasn't been used all that much. Just broken in. I had a figure in my head of $350, but I think I'm too low. I think somewhere in the $400-$450 range is probably right. I was thinking I could get a new one without the sites and all the XD Gear goodies (including 16 round mag!) for around $450 and add my prefered night sites for around $100. At $450 for the used one, I'm not getting a hi-cap mag, the other little goodies, or sights I prefer. Can you please share your thoughts and opinions on what this pistol (with 2 10 rd mags) is worth? Thanks! Jeff. |

Offer your friend $425 for the gun. That is a fair price for both you.

I just bought mine for $429 brand new. I think that $425 is a very good price considering it has the Heinie sights already on them. This seems like a fair price for both of you. Good choice.

When I bought my SC9mm almost 2 yrs. ago, it came with those sights; it wasn't an option as I was told that's the way the LAPD officers wanted them (yeah, right, sounds like the store wanted it for the profit). They added $75 to the price of the gun.
Since the price of the gun was at a le discount, it really isn't relevant to mention it; I was just letting you know what the sights cost then. Good luck. |

I bought my XD sub9 in 2003 for something like $479. I am getting Straight 8 sights for $95 installed by SA. So I think anything around $425 would be a good deal. SA's are guaranteed for life, I think regardless of the owner.

Well, my buddy wouldn't take the $450 or even the $500 I offered him. He says the gun is virtually new and he would like to get close to new price for it. Given that I want an extended mag and I don't prefer the Heinie sights, I decided to buy a new one.
I got a two-tone XD9SC for $509 that came with all the '06 package stuff. So now I'll pick up some sights and get them installed. Thanks for all your help folks. Jeff |

Congratulations on the new addition to yer family. I have an idea that buying exactly the one you wanted was your best choice. Now go break it in right.
