2 questions in one....Black or Bitone for CCW????
Which do you all think or does it matter? Also is the black like a protective coating or is it more like a blued and will the black wear off? Thanks for the help. I am looking to go our today and make my xd 40 sub purchase (since I can't get the xd 45 bitone until maybe July).
Thanks, Bill |

i thought about the same thing- i figured black would be a little more stealth than an eye catching shiny slide not that anyone would see it, but just in case you know..
there are threads on here of the black wearing as a result of CC, you could always get it dura coated for $45 though.... |

hahaha the black a protective coating. That makes me laugh. I'd say yes on any other firearm lol. Not on the XD though.
In my opinion, the stainless isn't very reflective and should not be considered differently for CCW carry. So it owuld be up to your personal preference.

I got a bi-tone pm9, my reasoning being that if someone falsly accuses me of pointing or threatining them with my gun, or brandishing as the law calls it. That way when asked to describe it they are most likely gonna say it was black. So to me the more unique the better. This day and age all it takes is for someone to accuse you of something like that and you won't be owning any more guns!
