Delaware HB 359

Delaware is finally introduced the bill to convert it from a "MAY ISSUE" to a "SHALL ISSUE" STATE with enough sponsors to GUARANTEE it will pass. I am signing up for the ccw class today

Now if IL would even consider letting us have a firearm or buy ammo with out the stupid FOID card we would be on the right track.

The foid system is there for a reason, though you could check your local hobbyists and collectors to find the collector firearm your looking for. Though if people wanted to stop gun toting criminals, ALL gun sales including private non licensed dealers should have manditory background checks, just my 2 cents before I head out.

You know, we need to have states make a MUST law. Or a "our founding fathers would kick you in the nuts for thinking you can restrict the 2nd ammendment" law, that would allow every non felon in this country to carry a concealed weapon.

Yes the FOID is there for a reason: to impose a fee for law abiding citizens to exercise their constitutional rights. I can not think of a single instance where a criminal applied for a FOID so he could legally steal a firearm. Sorry to get on a high horse but I am military here in IL and for the longest time I could not even buy ammo or get a FOID in this state as I have an out of state drivers license. So to me the law does nothing to stop criminals nor does it prevent goobers from buying firearms. I agree with back ground checks but the FOID has nothing to do with that.
