I go to Vance's (other side of town) every other week. It always costs me too much money

They do have quite a selection, although it cracks me up to listen to the sales people in the store. They are a HUGE Glock retailer, and they push them like crack dealers. I've watched them steer people away from the XDs and over to the Glocks... I just laugh and shake my head.

But anyway, my point was, Vance's is a good shop with (usually) reasonable prices.

Vance's has the XD-45 for $479. Look around on the auction sites, I found one on GunsAmerica for $449 - I asked and it was $21 shipping to my zip code. The seller was named Performance Firearms.

Vance's was one of the cheapest when the XD45 first came out which is when I got mine. I suspected that prices start to go down, but I guess Vance's insn't. It's all about timing.

I bought my XD40sc from Bud's a few months ago. Not a "gear" package but came with 1-9rd mag and 1-12rd mag with extension. Out the door with 3% visa charge, shipping, and FFL transfer from a local pawn shop....$450.00. I'd deal with Bud's again.

I think the XD Gear packages were a bad idea. It drove the price up. I don't care what they say about "free XD gear", BS. In 2005' MSRP for an XD9 service was $514, 2006 $536. That has to be to cover the "XD Gear" cost per unit and some dealers are jacking up the prices because they're offering you a "package". I can by a mag loader, mag pouch, and holster separately. I don't need repeats on a package every time I buy an XD. The gear packages are putting the XD near or over Glock prices. I liked the fact that I could get more for less. Bad idea from SA marketing Dept. Will I buy another XD? Yes, but I don't need the gear crapola. Just my humble opinion.

I bought a new XD-9 tactical last week and it did not have the other goodies with it. when I asked the dealer if it had it he said no it did'nt, But because it did'nt he would knock off 15.00 from the price. so I took it. I was going to buy it anyways, I really did not need the extras, It was just a question I asked, So the price went from 449.00 to 434.00. not too bad

There are quite a few online retailers you can purchase an xdsc9mm from and one I prefer to order from is http://www.impactguns.com/ , although if you can find a better deal with a xdsc9mm elsewhere, take what you can get, online shopping can be a time consuming activity.

The dealers on GunBroker are some of the most active and are for the most part, volume dealers. You can also check their shipping cost and ask questions if you need more info.
