Thanks for the info...should I use an eraser now or is there somthing better to use now that I have already done the damage with steel wool??

My brass touches the frame during ejection.

Don't give up on scrubbing it with Hoppes or another chemical that will dissolve the copper. When I feel it is time to clean it off it takes time. Just be persistent.

This may sound stupid, but I use my finger with a bit of saliva. It does work, or I use a q-tip and some rubing alcohol.
