XD mag marking

Anybody got any ideas on how to permanently mark SS XD mags? I would like to engrave/stamp them similar to Glock mags, but nobody local will mess with them without liability release. I've tried magic marker, stickers, paint, everything normal I could think of. Any how-tos with pics would be great....

I have always used paint pens on the bottom of the mag. You can usually find them at your local craft store. I have never tried to mark the magazine body because friction will just wear off anything to put on. Sorry no pictures.

Numbering magazines?
There are a few different ideas that will work well, but my idea is the 12th post in this thread.

I have had mine color coded for six months and they look just like the day I did them.

XD mag marking

I like the color coding in the round indicators. doesn't wear off because they're engraved. That's what I'm trying to do to, but in larger font with just the caliber for quicker reference when I have multiple mags on the loading table. not so good with the DITY engraver. Mag still functional, but looks disgusting....

There are etching kits available the will mark the mags without damage. Look at this link.

Permanently Mark or Etch Anything Metal in Seconds for Pennies- Etch-O-Matic.

Nail polish. It works for a while but might eventually chip off. I use it on my keys.

Perhaps see if a machine shop or tech shop in your area has a laser marker. I did that with my Glock mags. Didn't crank up the power too much, just ran over the markings until desired depth.
