Trijicon front sight post sliding off

I sent my XD9SC to Springfield to have night sights put on. I got my pistol back and haven't shot it since I received it (back around August/September). Tonight, I shot 200+ rounds through it. My first rounds were dead nuts, but they progressively got worse as I continued firing. I was really frustrated after 30 minutes; all the rounds were hitting WAY right. I pretty much gave up thinking that I was getting tired or I was doing something very wrong and I should just try again another night. Upon packing up everything, I noticed the front sight post was off center quit a bit to the left.

I am going to talk to Springfield tomorrow. Hopefully they will fix the problem, but I'm not sure if the time that has elapsed between them installing them and now will pose a problem.

What holds the sight in place? Is there supposed to be a set screw in the slide to hold it? I know I could possibly move it, but what would prevent it from moving the next time I fired the pistol. Also, I'm not sure I could find the centerline of the pistol.

Any suggestions/comments?

Its a friction fit and you can fix it by taking a spring-loaded center punch ($5.00) and put a few dimples into the bottom of the sight. Or you can lock it into place with a drop of red Locktite. Or, you can do a combination of the above.

Red loctight and you should be good to go and is reversable unlike dimples.
