After that zero problems. I might add that it was fired straight out of the box. Going to shoot again this weekend if the weather holds. Let you know if I encounter any problems.
I got the Sig Mosquito also and had problems ejecting with Federal rounds. I switched to the Mini Mags and they were perfect.

I got the Sig Mosquito

I tried the the used on @ the gun range and was worried about the one I ordered I was shoting Blazer and with 50 rounds it jammed over 20 times.
I got mine and shot Remington had a few that did not eject. Tried CCI standard shot 50 rounds 2 did not eject. Was told to use CLP break free and try CCI min mags. Going back Tue to give it a try. Was right on right out of the box .

I've had good luck with CCI min mags...no failures AT ALL with those...had quite a few with the cheaper ammo. I don't really bother to try anything else, the MM's work, and I can deal with that.

Besides the short of list of ammo that feeds/ejects reliably, it's a great gun. Decent accuracy, very light weight...I have the 3.4". I've been considering the barrel swap very some slightly better accuracy. Overall i have no complaints about it, besides how much I paid. I've seen them go for well under $300, while I paid $320.

From what I hear be sure to get a NEW P22... I have heard the OLD ones are junk. I HEAR the newer ones are good.

I have one from 2005 and it is an excellent little gun. It has been completely flawless, kicks butt and takes names.

I have ONLY used CCI Minimags in it, I hear that is about your best chance at making the gun reliable.

p22

Interesting to me as I've got both a P22 and XD40.

What I've noticed about the P22 is that it's finicky about being CLEAN. After about 500 rounds I start noticing FTF & FTE. With my XD40 I've never had a FTF/FTE. I'm thinking of doing a 'torture test' and just keep shooting w/o cleaning it to see how much it'll take. I've used Federal, Remington Golden Bullets, CCI MM's, and Winchester ammo in a P22 and have not noticed any difference. Mostly I shoot Federal b/c that's the cheapest ammo at WallyWorld. I clean the P22 after every trip to the range and lube it with Dry Lube (aersolized Teflon) which works great. I'd highly recommend aersolized Teflon for any gun.

I have the short barrel and I'm not very accurate with it--at 7 yds. I can keep my shots in a 4" circle but that's about it. [In contrast I can do <1" groups at 7 yds with my SW 19 shooting full .357 loads.] Also, even with the shortest front sight installed, I tend to shoot low (elevation is adjusted by using different front sights [supplied], windage is by a screw on the rear sight). I got a green Viridain laser to mount on the acc rail and it makes it a fun gun to shoot. Also, a laser will reveal to you just how much motion you impart to the gun during the trigger pull. I've found the laser to be a good training tool.

If you've got a Sig or CZ and wanted to train, this would be a pretty good pistol b/c it's fairly similar (DA/SA) but, as mentioned by others, doesn't have a decocking lever. I like it for what it is--a cheap plinker. I'm thinking of getting a Ruger with a long barrel to see how well I could shoot a .22 with a target pistol.

Yes, get a new one. What to look for: gun serial starts with "L", mag serials have a "B" somewhere. Those have all the new revisions Walther did to fix the problems.

I've shot Winchester Super X, federal game shock and CCI mini mags. Winchesters didn't seem powerful enough to reliably cycle the slide, both the Federal and CCI's had no problems. I usually use the CCI, however due to cost reasons I've switched to federal since I can get it in bulk.

I got my wife a P22 and she loves it. The first shot from it was dead center. Not bad for a person who never shot before. We use Remington Golden Saber hollow point. She's gone through about 500 rounds and no problems and its not that dirty. Don't get the Remington Thunder Bolt 22s they are real dirty took me forever to get lead out of barral. Been buying them at Sportmans Warehouse they come in box of 250 last month they were $19.00.

If you want to save a few bones get the 500 rd box of Federal Game-Shock. I picked on up at Cabelas for $30.

I've had my P22 for a little while now and i love it. Fun to shoot (also cheap, got 550 rnd of federal rnds at walmart for $12. I got mine used in awesome condition for $299 with the laser sight. I dont see a need for the 5 inch, the small one for me works just as well, no recoil. I am using to try to get my fiance to start shooting. kinda funny but i also have an XD40sc.
