New XD Owner
Well i got the fever and had to buy one. Yesterday i picked up an XD40-Bi-Tone. This is my2nd handgun not having one in about 5 years. Any advice you guys can give me is appreciated. Do I need to take any extra cleaning measeures for the first cleaning?

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your purchase. Before shooting a new gun I clean it as I normally would just to make sure there were no factory freebies left in it from molding and milling. Also gives me a good close inspection of it for any noticable defects.

Yeah, I already found a nice little nik on the slide. Oh well
That was what i was planning on. Seems like they like oil at Sringfield a little heat and some chicken and I'd be ready for dinner. |
