Is a Barsto barrel worth the wait?
I ordered a Barsto berrel on 11/12/05 for my XD 9 and I still have not received it. The shiping date was 4 to 6 weeks from 11/12/05. After numerous e-mails they said in will ship after the 2006 Shot Show. Do any of you have a Barsto barrell? Is it worth the wait?

I believe that I waited for over three months for
my first BarSto bull barrel in 9mm for a Sig 229/357/40. Yes, it was worth the wait for me. I also have various other BarStos to fit other machines. All of mine dropped right in, straight from IrvIII's place. They cost a little more, but I do prefer them over others on the market. Ed |

Darrell, I have one for my Colt 45ACP and Browning "High Power". Both barrels exhibit the excellent quality that Barsto is so famous for. I consider them to be the geru of pistol barrels dispite the various smaller companies making barrel now a days. Generally speaking everyone of the makes good barrels but Barsto is my main man if I had the money. Persoanlly for your XD I'd continue to use til yours is ready. They're barrels seem to be of good quality also. Have a little patience it'll be here soon. Mail Clerk

I haven't got to the point where the factory barrel is a limiting factor on any of my XD's. However, based on Bar-Sto's abysmal handling of my magwell order to date, should I choose in the future to get a Bar-Sto barrel for one of my XD's, I will probably order through MidwayUSA and let them try to deal with Bar-Sto.

I suppose you'll find out about the same time I do. Last word I got from them was that my barrel was to ship no later than the 2nd week in February. ::waits patiently::
