Doe anyone have pics of an XD finished in Black Chrome? I searched hard but couldnt find any. I would really like to know what this looks like as I now have a new XD-9 Service that will need refinished.

Also-I know that Ajames is @ The Shotshow so maybe someone else can answer for him.

Does he finish in Hard Chrome? I saw an XD in Hard Chrome on his website but wasnt sure if he had finished it or if he had only done the controls on it.

At present, James does not do hard chrome.
He is only presenting in finishes of DuroCoat.

Hard chrome is one of Virgil Tripp's specialty.

hard chrome satin finish. paid 120 for all steel parts to be chromed. the turnaround was three days, luckily i live in Alpine and so does Virgil

BTW, I think the OP is looking for pictures of BLACK CHROME.

From what I've seen, black chrome is like... really dark grey chrome...

this looks like black chrome. Got it out of the Shot Show 2006 pics.

it may not be black chrome though. but with a lack of flash on the camera taking the shot it makes it resemble black chrome well. who knows it might be black chrome

im sure someone will sooner or later come up with a better picture of black chrome on a XD.

I think i am going to have to sell some of my spare hard drives on EBay to get my XD40 refinished in black chrome. That looks secksey!

The sales cycle should also give me long enough to detail strip and clean my handgun.

Speaking of which, I should toss a range report up. Ive had mine out about 6 or 7 times now, including twice with the wife (who has fallen in love with my XD), and put about 1000 rounds downrange.

Man, About as close as you can shoot w/o a penalty there.

I have been trying to find a source to black chrome several items. If I find a source, I'll be able to get you some real nice pics.
