Newb here, New XD-40
Just picked up my new XD-40 this week. Went out this afternoon and put 50 rounds through it. LOVE IT!! This is the best hand gun I have had shot to date! It's like a the glove of hand guns. I was shooting well for a couple year downtime IMO as well.
Glad to find a place like this to read up on what's out there for the XD, what to lookout for, and what works for others.  It was a toss up between the glock 22 and the XD. In the military I get to shop at a place in Little Rock called Cruise Uniform for officers and can get the discount on Glocks. So it was hard to pass up the name GLOCK!! and for cheaper then the XD. But the first out of three shopping days as soon as I picked up the XD "It just fit me" And now i'm glad I chose the XD and the more expensive option.
