XD9: Worst decision I ever made! - XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source!

Greetings to all,

Yes, this is my first post and it is my solemn duty to report the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I will forever rue the day that I set my credit card down on the counter to pay for my XD9 because it's ben the constant source of an ever growing list of unresolved frustrations, arguments, and general malaise! DO NOT even consider this ballistic money pit lest you find yourself in a miserable, little life boat afloat in a sea of skyrocketing expenses! For the general education of the unfortunate few who are ignorant of the inherent dangers of XD9 ownership I have prepared a small sampling of the trials and tribulations that have befallen me thus far:

1) Embarassing though it may be.................................I SOLD MY GLOCKS!!!!!!! Yes, even a formerly devout Glockmeister such as myself can be led astray from the path that Gaston Glock blazed through the annals of modern firearms history.

2) My physician, a nerosurgeon of national reputation, is at a loss for words at the nerve damage afflicting both of my hands; you see, nothing else feels comfortable anymore! Before the XD infected my daringly, deft digits I was blissfully unaware of how it surreptitiously grafts itself to your hand like the symbiotic parasite that it is! Truth be told, I can't leave the house without it tagging along no matter how much I may want some time to myself.

3) All of a sudden and with no concious thought whatsoever I have found myself in the possession of a reloading press! I never cared about reloading, at least for pistol ammo, before; why did I buy a new press???!!! Because the XD is making me, that's why!!! Woe is me, for my pocket book is wailing and smoking, crying and choking at the constant abuse it receives now.

4) Ssshhh...be vewy, vewy quiet when you read this because the wascally XD, or should I say, xascally XD is begging me for a mate to keep him company! Be warned: XD's like to travel and cohabitate in groups! Now, I am powerless to resist it's siren call of companionship! What shall I do??!!

5) I surfed the net in the hopes of finding a support group that would help me kick the XD addiction and all I found was THIS LOUSY FORUM!!! I am doomed, I tell you. For now I am poked and prodded, cooed and cajoled, wooed and wacked into all sorts of ways to feed my XD habit!!!

Alas, there is no escape...the sooner you realize the truth, the sooner you may come to accept that RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!! LONG LIVE THE CROATION SENSATION!!! THREE CHEERS FOR THE XD: HIP-HIP, HOORAY! HIP-HIP, HOORAY! HIP-HIP, HIP HOP! I mean HOORAY!!!

Somehow, I know the feeling....this morning I was thinking about buying a reloading press.....OH MY G-D!!! MY XD IS IN MY RIGHT HAND RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! I was soooo unaware!

Hi Again,

Thank you all. Yes, this is a sampling of what the A.D.D mind is like most of the time which reminds me of time that I forgot what my name was on an algebra test...but I digress...In all seriousness, I am absolutely delighted with three things: 1) My XD. From the beginning it's been love at first(how can I keep this HR approrpiate?) touch. 2) This forum for providing me with all of the reasons I hadn't thought of for spending money on my new Love, I mean hobby. 3) And Springfield for revitalizing the Croatian sensation in a way no one could have forseen.

It's good to be in great company!
