Have a Don Hume, Want A Fist ( I think). Little help?

Hi guys,

I have a Don Hume #715 IWB for my XD Service (bought it off a member here, actually) like this one:

http://www.donhume.com/Products/Prod...m?ProductID=35

Well, I love this holster to death, but I find that I often wish it had a forward cant. Forward cant holsters fit my frame (and the way I carry) a lot better, especially when sitting at my desk.

I thought about seeing if Hume would make a 715 with forward cant, but then I find the Fist #1 is available with the forward cant option. It looks JUST like what I would imagine my Don Hume to look like, if it had a forward cant!

http://fist-inc.com/holsters/holster/1A.htm

I'm pretty excited and my mind's about made up on ordering this one, but I was hoping someone could chime in on the Fist #1? Anyone use the forward cant version? How does it compare to the Don Hume?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the #1 for my 40 SC.

Although I don't have the forward cant, I love the holster. I wear it every day and its very sturdy, yet reasonably priced. When I wear this one out I'll replace it with the forward cant version. I didn't get the extra stitching that's available and it's still holding up very well, but maybe I'd add the extra stitching next time. Also, the clip is very strong. No signs of loosening.

Good holster.

You may do better on price with gunnersalley.

I can't compare the fist#1 to the don hume, but I carry my sig p239 in the fist almost everyday. It's a well made holster, and comfortable to wear, but you know what they say about holsters.......what's comfortable to one, is a PITA to another.

I have the Fist #7, and had considered the #1. It's a forward cant, comfortable (to me) and well made. I'm sold on 'em.

Great holsters

I have three Fist holsters, and I love all of them. Mine are the #2, a LadyFist with front reinforcement, and a leather pocket holster. Great materials and workmanship, lots of options for customization, and with the guarantee, you can't go wrong.

Sorry I can't compare to the Hume, but I'll definitely put in a plug for Fist.

+1 on the FIST. I have a 17A with the body protector. I really like it. The only drawback to FIST is that it takes several weeks to recieve them. They are worth the wait.
