Just be careful... some holsters designed for a Glock are a little bit too narrow for an XD. The XD's have wider recievers and slides than the glocks...

Only problem with that is that strap would depress the grip safety on the XD.

I agree it would fit but I would be extra careful due the grip safety being depressed. Still is safe, you are just losing one of the three safeties of the XD design. Be safe.

not to sure but i dont think it will fit i have a viper paddle holster for my xd and one for my glock 22 one for my glock 20

I don't think I could ever use such a carry method. I've got a really bad habit of setting something down and forgetting about it.
