I'd disassemble it, reassamble double checking everything for fit. and consult ajames's site for referance.

I haven't had mine apart, but looking at the blow-up view, and the amount it appears to be sticking out further, is it possible the indicator isn't seated in the striker all the way. Maybe sitting on the rim instead of in the pocket. Like I said, I've never had mine torn down, but that's my guess from the pictures.

Assemble as follows..
1. firing pin dampening spring
2. Firing pin
3. Roll pin to retain firing pin
4. Firing pin status indicator
5. Firing pin spring
6. Firing pin spring guide
7. Locking plate

If they go together in this order, its next to impossible to have the indicator sticking out too far.

Itch I think the striker spring goes in after the indicator, atleast it appears that way, even in ajames disassembly pics.

I'm wondering if the indicator isn't seating into the striker, poss. sitting just outside of the pocket in the back??
