I've tried the search feature and can't seem to find anything on the twist rate for my Tactical. Anybody?

A lot of post were deleted last year in the hacker attack. If my memory is correct it is a 1 in 9. Anyone knows different, please chime in!! I know it was listed in some of the gun rag reviews.

It is one complete (360 degree) turn of the bullet per length specified. For example, a 1:9 twist is 1 complete revolution over 9 inches.

Most pistol twist rates are 1 in 16. I don't know for sure what the rate is in the xd though.

There have been 122 views of this thread.....amazing! I thought for sure there would be several folks jump on this question with the answer. I even felt kind of foolish asking it.....Guess I'm not the only one who doesn't know for sure. I did send an email to Springfield asking for the answer. If they let me know I will post here with the results....

How does the twist rate affect the bullet, velocity, and accuracy?

This sounds more like it. I know that BarSto barrels are 1 in 16.
EFK's are 1 in 16 except for the .40 and .400 Carbon which are 1 in 15.
