SA-XD Sub-Compact

After purchasing my first 1911, a SA Custom Loaded which I love, I immediately wanted more, or less in this case. I really like the XDs, but I've only shot the 9mm and .40 with the 4 in barrel. The truth is, I'll probably end up getting both eventually, but here are my questions. What are your opinions on the sub-compact and do any of you carry it and/or the 4 in models? Thanks!

I have the 9 SC ... so far so great. Haven't shot it that much; I do need more practice with it. I can't shoot it as well as I can my Ruger GP-100, but it makes a hell of a lot better carry gun. Wore it most of the day today and barely knew it was there! Can't beat the price/lifetime warranty either!

I have the sc 40, i went to the range and shot about 200 rds yesterday. I'm not nearly as accurate as let's say a full size sig, but practice makes perfect I love this thing, great gun, easy to clean, and it's "ergonomically" great. The slide release is where my thumb can hit it with ease, the ambi mag release is a plus as well. You can't go wrong!

I have an XDsub9 and the wife and I both carry it, obviously not at the same time though . Its a great little gun and I can shoot it just as accurately as I can our 4 and 5 inch guns. To this date, i cannot emember a malfunction occuring in it. I have probably a couple to a few thousand rounds through it.

I have an XD 9 SC and it is the gun I carry every day and trust my life with. I have put just over 5k rounds through it with out a single hiccup. I am as accurate with it as I am my XD 9 Service model. It is extremely easy to carry with the correct holster. I would not trade this gun for any other weapon. Buy lots of ammo and practice, practice, practice with your carry weapon.

I have the 40 sub and carry it comfortably in the Tucker "Answer". It is accurate and reliable. I've never shot competition but for the last couple of months I've been getting together with the group in my signature and having fun trying some practical shooting. And the subs do just as well as the 4's and tacticals that come out to play.

I have had the SC 9 for about a month now and put 800 rounds through it with no issues. I have found it extremely accurate and fun to shoot. Of course I am used to shooting a Super Redhawk in 44mag. so that may account for why I like it so much.

I carry it OWB in a Galco MX-7 and hardly know it is on my hip. I could not be happier with my choice, I am sure you will be too.

I love my sc 9mm. I carry it instead of my Browning now and it is very accurate. No jams so far.

new finish on the XD subcompacts ?

Has anyone who has recently purchased an XD subcompact notice if it has a better finish or Glock like finish on it ? My XD-45acp has the newer finish on it and I love it.
