So I was at the gunshop yesterday and they had just gotten in an order from SA with 3 brand-new XDs. One was a .45 ACP, one was a .40 service and the last was a 9mm SC. As far as I could tell, ALL of them had the new Melonite finish.

The dealer has been waiting for a LONG time (over a month) for this order and supposedly SA has been working feverishly to finish them and get them out to dealers. The one thing I didn't think to do was look at the spent cartridge envelope date to see when they were manufactured. I'm guessing it was within the last few weeks. I'll be heading back there this evening and I'll check then (provided they're still there).
