Slide refinishing recommendations?
I have a XD 9 SC that is about 3 years old. I carry it daily and the slide is extremely worn. What are my options on refinishing? I was on this forum about 2 years ago and have been inactive so my username got deleted. I saw an XD about 2 years ago on here that some one had done that looked like a bi-tone and some of the smaller metal parts on the frame matched the slide. It looked really cool. I wouldny mind getting my blued SC done that way. I know there are a few site sponsors on here that do this. Gimme some ideas please.

You could always get your gun hardchromed. It's durable and looks nice.

Tripp Research hard chrome would surely look nice and is very durable. $80 and 2 week turn around time.

The Chrome would probably be the best in durability, I have Duracoat on my XD and love it, Have not had it done long so I really can't attest to it's durability. There is Also the GunKote and a few Teflon based coating out there. There is a guy that work up at the local range in Forrest Park with a Gen2 HS2000 that is kinda a lime OD green, For lack of a better color desciption. It is a Teflon coating and his has shown no wear.
