When I bought my XD 9 last Friday I noticed when I got home that it had came with 2 10 round magazines. Being after the ban has been lifted it was suposed to have 2 15 rounders.

Called my dealer and he told me to call Springfield and gave me a name and number.

Called Springfield and Debbie took care of the problem right away and now there are 2 15 rounders on the way and they even told me to keep my 10 rounders as a "we're sorry that the item was wrong" gift!

Now that's customer service! :P

wonder if I call springfield and tell them there was no gun in my case, if they will send me a new one as a "we're sorry there was no gun in your case" gift? lol

Or just tell them it came without a Slide! That has all the parts in it.

This happened to me last week also. I picked my new XD40 up from a dealer that I have never used before. I noticed the clintons in there when I got it home. I called him and asked him about it and he assured me that that is what it came with. Though I suspect he is not being truthfull because upon closer inspection, I can tell the mags have been used.

I have not called Springfield, but am considering it. I have never had to deal with their customer service before. I am not sure if they will help me because I think the dealer is the one trying to screw me. Any thoughts?

I had heard this also. And that is what I expected before I got there. However, I only received the two 10 rounders.
