New or Used XD-40

I am about to purchase an XD-40 service model. I have found a new one for $489= 2 12+1 mags and box or a used one for $450=2 12+1 mags and box. The used ones I not sure how much use and abuse they have seen. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

russ

look on the trading post, you can find a used one for 350. I see New XD's in Grand Rapids MI for 439 (MC Sports) but prices are going up fast.

That is the link to my XD40 for sale or trade. As far as I know, the warranty is still valid, it is a LIFETIME warranty on the gun, not for just one owner. Besides, I never told SA that it was MINE, warranty should be with the gun, not the owner. Let me know what you think, and for the same package, a used XD will be MUCH cheaper than 489.

That little of a price difference? I would personally buy the new one. Then you know its history and how it is taken care of.

I did not send in the warranty info, the gun has a lifetime warranty, ALL XD's have one. Reguardless of the owner.

Thats how I understood it. The warranty goes with the gun for its lifetime,
it doesn't matter if the ownership changes hands.

In this case, a $39.00 difference, I would buy the new one then there is no question of its use and warranty.

Be safe

Matt
